Abstract: In Beyond Dreamers: Transitions to Adulthood in an Uncertain Age, co-authors Sofya Aptekar and Amy Hsin use a life course perspective to examine experiences of illegality among a diverse group of undocumented young adults in New York City. They analyze the role of the Dreamer image, racialization, and legal systems in shaping lives and opportunities on campus, in the workplace, among family members, in romantic relationships, and in planning for the future.
