The Global Migration Center and Humanizando la Deportación are happy to welcome Dr. María Félix Quezada Ramírez to campus as a part of the Ruta Migratoria program of Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Hidalgo (UAEH). As part of her visit, on October 13, she will present a public lecture in Spanish titled "La agenda de investigación de la migración internacional otomí en el Valle de Mezquital, Hidalgo" [Research agenda on International Migration of Otomí People from the Mezquital Valley of Hidalgo, Mexico]. It will be held on Tuesday, October 13 at 2:00 pm in Sproul 912, or via Zoom (see attached flyer). Dr. Quezada Ramírez (PhD, Development Studies, Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas), who directs the UAEH's PhD program in Population Studies, is an expert on the internal displacement and transnational migration of indigenous peoples in Mexico.  

 The Ruta Migratoria visit, which will take place the week of Oct. 12-Oct. 16 and for which Dr. Quezada will be accompanied by five UAEH students, will include smaller meetings with GMC colleagues in the Law School, Economics, Sociology and Spanish, visits to UCD classes, and attendance of other campus events.
