Bianca Vicuña, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at UC Davis. She received her PhD from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2024. Dr. Vicuña is a political psychologist who studies the development of conflict and coalitions between minoritized groups in the U.S. Her dissertation examines the psychological processes that create feminist coalitions between Latinas and White women. Her work has appeared in the American Political Science Review, Political Behavior, and Politics, Groups, and Identities.
Dr. Vicuña has been awarded multiple prestigious research grants and fellowships to support her research, including the Russell Sage Foundation Dissertation grant, the UCLA Eugene V. Cota-Robles Fellowship, the APSA Minority Fellowship, the Hoffenberg Research Fellowship, and the UCLA Dean’s Fund for the Study of Diversity and Racial Inequality.
