Structure: The Summer School will span four days. Each morning, a faculty member will lecture on the frontiers of research in their specific topic. In the afternoons, selected students will present their own research ideas or drafts and receive feedback from faculty. Evening sessions will feature guest speakers, and the program will include a field trip to a site of cultural interest. The atmosphere of the school will stimulate conversation and feedback in small groups, while shared meals between students and faculty will foster the development of mentoring relationships and networks among peers. See here for highlights from last edition.

Attendees: There will be up to 25 participants admitted, and the institution of origin can be any PhD program, agency, or national and international institution based in the Americas.

Lodging: All attendees will stay at Krystal Grand Insurgentes Hotel. Meals and classes will be fully covered thanks to the generous support of University of California Alianza MX. All attendees will need to arrange their own transportation to Mexico City.

Admission: Competitive, based on CV and research proposal. Applicants should submit their application through this link, including their CV and either a draft of a research paper or a one-page research proposal related to the theme of the Summer School. They may also include a letter of recommendation from one advisor (optional). The letter of recommendation should be sent to [email protected].
