In this blog post I discuss findings from recent literature about how COVID 19 has affected work in the agri-food system in the U.S. and elsewhere in the world. I highlight how several countries have made special exceptions to their lockdown measures to accommodate farm labor migration. Also, some countries have sought to normalize unauthorized immigrants in an attempt to secure an adequate farm labor force.
