Lucas Ruppel

Lucas Ruppel is a PhD candidate in Spanish with an emphasis in Human Rights at UC Davis. His research explores Latin American literature, film studies, memory, LGBTQIA+ migration, queer care, and digital storytelling. He has taught Spanish courses at various levels and received multiple honors including the Global Aggies Award for LGBTQIA+ Rights. He holds a B.A. in Literature from Universidad Nacional del Sur, Argentina.
