A flurry of executive orders banned the entry of non-citizens from Muslim-majority countries and suspended the admission of refugees; increased the enforcement of immigration law through criminal law; and ordered the construction of a wall to prevent the migration of Latinos.

Massive resistance to these immigration enforcement priorities ensued in various forms—through litigation, state and local legal and policy changes, individual and community-based advocacy, and support from churches, businesses and other organizations. This Symposium examines the different forms of resistance employed by various groups, the legal challenges they faced, and the lessons they learned.
