The Global Migration Center and UC Alianza MX present the third event of a new series of Migration Dialogues, "Migration and Covid-19: Mexico, US, and the Border", which will be held on Zoom on May 5, 2022, at 10 AM -11.30 AM California Time (12 PM - 1.30 PM Mexico City).
Third Migration Dialogue
Thursday May 5th 10.00-11.30 Am Pacific Time
In spite of the Covid-19 pandemic, migrants have continued to move through and between Mexico and the United States in search of safety, work, and security. Meanwhile, the pandemic has had deep impacts on the lives of migrants who work in essential jobs in agriculture and services, who live in insecure conditions as they seek to migrate across the border, and who are detained by immigration enforcement agencies in Mexico and the United States. This panel will address the experiences of migrants during the Covid-19 pandemic, including best practices for public health and migration policy.
