Jo Mhairi Hale hired as research scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research

Jo Mhairi Hale, a Sociology Ph.D. 2016 recipient, is now a research scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research in Rostock, Germany. Her dissertation is entitled: "Intersecting Exposures: How Race, Gender, Life-Course SES, and Macroeconomic Shocks Affect Late-Life Cognitive Decline and Dementia Mortality."

She was under the supervision of Migration Research Cluster affiliate faculty, Assistant Professor Erin Hamilton.
