Professor J. Edward Taylor's research was recently featured on the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association website. His research, "Refugees Can Bolster a Region's Economy," argues that the cost of helping refugees are actually not too great. In fact, when refugee camps are managed well, helping refugees have a positive impact on the local economies.
