Robyn Magalit Rodriguez co-sponsors the 50th anniversary of the Delano grape strike

The Welga Project, directed by Professor Robyn Magalit Rodriguez (Asian American Studies), is co-sponsoring a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Delano grape strike, with the Filipino American National History Society. The event will be from Saturday to Sunday, September 5 to 6, in Delano, California. This event will highlight Filipino-Americans' leadership and contribution to the strike and its impacts for Filipino-American community. Most notably are the works of Larry Itliong and Philip Vera Cruz who led the struggle, beginning on September 8, 1965.
