Emerald Nguyen is now the American Sociological Association Congressional Fellow

Emerald Nguyen, a Sociology Ph.D. 2016 recipient, is now the American Sociological Association Congressional Fellow in Washington, D.C. She was previously a graduate student researcher for the Center for Poverty Research. Her dissertation addressed how immigrant family structures change over time, and how these same structures influence the mobility outcomes of individual family members.

She was under the supervision of Migration Research Cluster affiliate faculty, Assistant Professor Erin Hamilton.
