Gabriel "Jack" Chin and Kevin R. Johnson interviewed by Capital Public Radio regarding the 1965 Immigration Act

Professor Gabriel "Jack" Chin and Dean Kevin R. Johnson were recently interviewed by Beth Ruyak for Capital Public Radio as part of the 50th anniversary of the 1965 Immigration Act.

Professor Chin said that the Act profoundly impacted the demographics of the U.S. population by removing longstanding laws that severely restricted immigration from Asia. Dean Johnson explained that although the Act set limits on immigration from Europe, those limits were so high that they had no practical impact.
