Giovanni Peri quoted in National Journal article that debunks Trump's claims about immigration and blue collar employment

In a National Journal article entitled "Debunking Trump’s Claims About Immigration and the Blue Collar Workforce," Professor Giovanni Peri's research is quoted by Tim Fernholz to show the real effects of im­mig­ra­tion to the US on the nat­ive work­ers' av­er­age wages.

Fernholz writes: "You’ll no­tice they are all pos­it­ive: Al­most every­one has seen wages rise thanks to im­mig­rants in the eco­nomy, even though they are pretty mar­gin­al ef­fects. Eco­nom­ists have been ar­guing about how to meas­ure the im­pact of im­mig­ra­tion on nat­ive work­ers for a long time now, but con­sensus seems to be set­tling on the idea that they are com­ple­ment­ary to US work­ers."
