The National Science Foundation awards a grant of $170,315 to University of California, Davis for support of the project “The Effect of H-1B Workers on the Innovation and Productivity in US Firms"

The NSF Division, Science of Science and Innovation Policy, has awarded a grant for research to Giovanni Peri and in collaboration with Kevin Shih (Rensselaer Polytechnic), Anna Maria Mayda (Georgetown University), Francesc Ortega (CUNY Queens), and Chad Sparber (Colgate University) to analyze the effect of H1B visa workers on the productivity and innovative abilities of US firms. The grant will allow the team to continue their ground-breaking research on the topic of high skilled immigration and the US economy.
