Giovanni Peri quoted by Bloomberg regarding economy without undocumented immigrants

A Bloomberg News segment recently quoted a paper written by Professor Giovanni Peri and colleague Professor Andre Chassamboulli (University of Cyprus), when talking about the effects of deporting all immigrants from the United States.

The Bloomberg News article writes: "Reducing the undocumented immigrant population by 50 percent through border control or deportation would boost the native unemployment rate for unskilled workers by about 1.13 percent of its initial value, according to a March 2015 paper by Andri Chassamboulli at the University of Cyprus and Giovanni Peri at the University of California at Davis. The change would come as employers' labor costs for unskilled workers increases, prompting them to create fewer jobs."
