Trump, covid slowed down immigration. Now employers can’t find workers.

GMC director Giovanni Peri was featured on Washington Post regarding the slowing of immigration during the Trump administration and the slowing that intensified with the COVID-19 pandemic. Peri stated, “it could be another four years before the country makes up for current shortfalls. Even then, it won’t be enough to catch up to the rapidly aging workforce that is projected to leave millions more positions unfilled.”
