Immigration and the Economy: A Complicated Picture

GMC Director Giovanni Peri and his latest working paper regarding the effects of immigration on natives’ wages in the US was featured in an article in The Epoch Times. The article pertains to the political, social, and fiscal outcomes of immigration and the distinction between higher-educated and low-educated immigrants. Peri suggests that more legal entry options should be offered to low-education immigrants which in turn “… would be able much more to track and know what’s going on with them. It would be much more orderly”.
