During its 46th Anniversary Gala, the Centro Legal de la Raza awarded Kevin R. Johnson, Dean of UC Davis School of Law, its Outstanding Achievements in Law award.

Graduate student affiliate, Diane Charlton was awarded a Provost’s Dissertation Year Fellowship by the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and the Department of Agricultural & Resource Economics.

In a recent announcement, the Agricultural & Applied Economics Association’s (AAEA) awarded Professor J. Edward Taylor the distinction of being honored as an AAEA Fellow.

Hibel was one of four UC Davis scholars to receive the $1000 UC Davis Division of Social Sciences Dean's Innovation Award.

"Structural Change in Mexican Agriculture and the Farm Labor Supply" is a multi-year research project that will contribute towards understanding how structural changes in Mexican agriculture relate to a changing supply of Mexican labor to US and Mexican farms.

The research project led by Peri and Shih and including researchers at UC Davis, Georgetown University, CUNY Queens and Colgate University was awarded funding for 170,000 $ by the Science of Science & Innovation Policy (SciSIP) program at the National Science Foundation.
