Giovanni Peri and Gaetano Basso published for new study on the economic benefits of international college students

A study by Professor Giovanni Peri, Gaetano Basso, and Sara McElmurry was recently published by The Chicago Council on Global Affairs. This study looked closely at the benefits of retaining international college students on the United States economy.

Some new data were analyzed, and it was found that when foreign-born students are able to find work in local economies after graduation, the positive economic effects extend beyond their incomes.
